A Stage Flow Parameter Analytical Model for Transonic Counter-Rotating Compressor and Its Application

This paper proposes a stage flow parameter analytical model for rapid evaluation of counter-rotating compressor’s performance design optimization and its application in the transonic fan. In first part, velocity diagram method, considering influence flow-path geometry variation enhancing accuracy, is used to correlate aerodynamic between inlet guide vane (IGV), upstream rotor (R1), downstream CR (R2). A profile loss correlation based on Lieblein’s diffusion factor shock from high-speed fan database are incorporated predicting efficiency. second verify effectiveness, aiding indicating optimized combination parameters good efficiency high pressure ratio. According simulation results, final selected samples have higher efficiency, with moderate ratio (0.949/2.67, 0.890/2.99, 0.841/2.99 R = 0.1, 0.5, 0.9, respectively). Finally, characteristics designed at relative rotating speed N 1.05~0.8 calculated by using CFD software Numeca. Simulations indicate that has 2.76, an 0.8405 point, maintained above 0.821 stall margin 13.3% N=1.0. The maximum this reaches 3.08 3.36 1.0 1.05, respectively. If provide thrust, calculations thrust 71.8, 65.9, 35.8 kN 1.0, 0.8 near-choke point sea-level condition.
